Oulton Park's signature Historic Gold Cup returns this Bank Holiday Weekend (26-28 August) with three days of motor racing nostalgia on the circuit, and a retro vibe off it. Advance booking is now closed, but tickets will be available on the gate throughout the whole event.
The Gold Cup is one of the highlights of the historic motor racing season, with a rich motor racing programme, bursting with old-school delights. This year's Gold Cup will be headlined by the Historic F2 FIA International Series, for F2 cars from the '60s and '70s, and the aggregate winner from the weekend's two races will lift the Historic Gold Cup itself on the Monday.
Other major highlights will include the Super Touring Car from the '90s, and a 48-strong entry of Historic Formula Ford cars as the category celebrates its 50th anniversary. There will be sports car and GT racing too, plus action from other generations of touring cars as well.
Aside from the racing, you can witness one of the biggest car displays in northern Britain, plus artisan trade stands and period music, whilst a major military display will pay homage to the venue's past as a US army staging ground under the stewardship of General Patton.
Tickets for the Oulton Park Gold Cup on 26-28 August are available on the gate for £5 on Saturday and £25 per day on Sunday and Monday. Under-13s go free. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
