The Oulton Park Gold Cup will welcome hundreds of classic motors through its gates on August Bank Holiday Weekend (26-28 August), adding to the nostalgic feel of the North West’s premier historic racing event.
The off-track areas will be filled with retro automobiles throughout the weekend, racing from classic British Lotus, TVR, and Mini machines, to Alfa Romeos, and other exotic foreign imports. These car displays are always a hugely popular addition to the event, and it’s well worth a wander around to see what gems you can find.
On the Sunday, the line-up of cars in attendance will be bolstered further by the Cheshire Concours’ d’Esprit competition, which will see a number of very special classic cars vying for best in show awards.
These stunning road cars will complement the historic racing on the track nicely, creating a car park from yesteryear which will overlook the Cheshire circuit’s picturesque surroundings.
Car clubs expected to attend include the Alfa Romeo Owners Club, GT40 Enthusiasts Club, Club Lotus, and the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club. A full list of attending car clubs will be revealed in due course.
Other off-track attractions at this year’s Gold Cup will include live music, military displays, and much more.
